Rocky Mountain High

I made a cute little baby hat with Cotton Tots yarn, one of my favorites. It is from the Last Minute Knitted Gifts book called Children's Cotton hats. I made it to go with a little knitted sweater (I got the pattern in the 1st store mentioned below). I made it as a baby shower gift for a friend of my mom's. She felt like the sweater needed a friend! ;o) I forgot to take a picture of the sweater so I'll try and post it later.

I have decided to post some travel pictures in each of my posts for a while - or at least until they run out. Today's locale is Boulder, Co. It was a great place to visit. I found a couple of great yarn shops there. At Shuttles, Spindles, and Skeins they had a HUGE book selection - just about every book I had ever heard about they had - knitting OR crochet.

The second one I visited was MewMew's Yarn Shop. She not only has a cute website but a really neat selection of sock yarn. I was able to get a great self-striping yarn for socks in kelly green and white for my favorite Celtic Soccer Fan (my DS). It is difficult to find ANY yarn in kelly green, so the sock yarn was a real find. I also saw Dark Horse yarn for the 1st time and HAD to have some reddish/pink variegated. I'm a sucker for variegated yarn.

The photos are the view from my hotel room in Boulder. Beeeeeutiful...

What a cute hat! I especially like the cord and bow. The pictures of Colorado are lovely. I hope to get there sometime.
